On sunday the 18th of july there will be a preview of Cosmic Sensation, the event where cosmic rays out of the universe are translated into dance music. This event itself takes place at the end of september in Nijmegen, but ACOS CoolKAs and DJ Peter Nijborn will perform this sunday, between 5 and 8 PM, as a preview of the main event. Their music will be like the music you can hear at the Cosmic Sensation event in september.

On the Cosmic Sensantion event (30th of september untill the 2nd of october, park Brakkenstein) cosmic rays out of the universe will be translated live into modern dance music and spectacular images that will be projected 360 degrees around an enormous dome. In this way we can visualise the cosmic rays that are always present but normally not visible or noticeable. When you visit this event you are part of this bombardment of information coming from the far places in the universe.

On sunday, the 18th of july, ACOS CoolKAs and DJ Peter Nijborn will perform between 5 and 8 PM on the Lift!-stage in the Valkhofpark. They are leading figures of the music that will be used and edited by the information out of the cosmic rays. Acos CoolKAs, Konstantin Atomas and Vasily Basalaey from Omsk in Russia, are upcoming talents in the electronic music. DJ Peter Nijborn is a famous name in the DJ scene and someone that is always open for new experiments.

In 2009 Cosmic Sensation won the Academic Year Award, an award for the best idea to communicate new scienctific research to a broad audience.
